Southern Association Scholarship Fund

To Whom It May Concern:

I am writing you on behalf of the USA Boxing Southern Association Scholarship Fund. The Association consists of some 800+ registered amateur boxers from the states of Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and Florida. These athletes are male and female ranging in ages from 8 to 27.These athletes travel throughout these states competing against other boxers in their age, weight, and experience division. The Southern Association has had several athletes represent them in both, regional and national tournaments with great success.

The Southern Association recently started a scholarship Fund to reward those students who qualify with a $500.00 dollar scholarship for attending any State, Community or Technical College. Our goal is to promote education and to aid and prepare our athletes for their future. This past year we awarded 4 athletes with scholarships for their success while attending school and we look forward to continued recognition to all our athletes. Our long term goal is to award more than the amount that we now offer, and the only way to do this is through solicitation from business such as yours.

Currently our association has approximately 59 registered clubs and each club is responsible for obtaining sponsorship to support the scholarship fund. Awards will be distributed annually at our end of the year meetings

We would greatly appreciate any monetary donation to our scholarship fund to help reward a deserving athlete achieving his/her educational goals. All donated funds will be accounted for by the association Junior Olympic Chairman and receipts will be mailed back for tax purposes.
